Wixom Library Fall Reading Programs

The Fall Reading programs will be starting up soon for kids of all ages. Make sure to register your children beginning September 10th to secure a spot: call 248-624-2512 or register online.

Here are all the programs the library is offering:

Baby Days - circle time storytelling
Who: Children up to 24 months w/parent
When: Mondays (October 8,15 & 22)
Time: 10:00am

Mommy & Me - listen to stories, make a craft & sing songs
Who: 2 years old w/parent
When: Thursdays (October 4, 11, 18 & 25)
Time: 10:30am

Preschool Storytime - listen to stories, make a craft & sing songs
Who: ages 3, 4 & 5 (not yet in Kindergarten)
When: Tuesdays (October 2, 9, 16 & 23 & 30)
Time: 10:30am

Fantastic Fridays
Who: ages 2-6

Time: 10:30am
  • Pencils are Fun: Friday (9/28)
  • Squirrels are Nutty: Friday (10/19)
  • Healthy, Wealthy & Wise: Friday (11/16)
  • Peppermint Twist: Friday (12/14)

Terrific Thursday: Election Night - Storytime, art project and a chance to vote on kid-related issues!
Who: grades K-2
When: November 1st
Time: 6:30-7:15pm

Spectacular Saturdays
Who: ages 2-10

Time: 10:30am
  • Farmer John: Saturday (10/6) - meet real farm animals!
  • Annual Halloween Party: Saturday (10/27) - Wear your costumes for Trick-or-treating through the library, face-painting, snacks and crafts.
  • 20th Anniversary Celebration: Saturday (11/10)  - Come help the library celebrate it's 20th anniversary with many fun events!
  • Gingerbread Houses: Saturday (12/8) 

Fall Book Club: Eat a snack and discuss your favorite book (choose any diary, comic or cartoon illustrated chapter book)
Who: Grades 3-5
When: Thursday, November 8th
Time: 6:30pm
