Kensington Metropark's Winter Bliss Festival (1/29)

Cost: $2 for a wristband (plus $5 for the daily park entry fee)

Kensington Metropark is having it's Winter Bliss Festival on Sunday, January 29th!  There will be demonstrations and activities going on most of the day throughout the park. Each participant must buy a $2 wristband, which permits entry into all activities and demonstrations. Here are some of the activities that will be available:
  • The Skating Rink located near the boat rental building will be offering activities such as ice skating (bring your own skates), curling, speedskating, ice hockey and ice fishing (anyone 17 and older must have a fishing license). 
  • The Nature Center will feature a variety of winter crafts for children to make and take home. 
  • The Farm Center will offer demonstrations and clinics on cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing (a limited number of cross-country skis and snowshoes will be available).  There will also by free ice harvesting demonstrations as well.
